Father Wilfred Labbe, Deacon Paul Lissandrello, and Deacon John Buchholz will lead Lenten mini-retreats March 4-6 at St. Matthew Church, 19 Dora Lane in Limerick, and March 11-13 at Holy Family Church, 66 North Avenue in Sanford. The retreats at both locations start at 6:30 p.m.

The Stations of the Cross began in the days of the early Church when pilgrims would journey to Jerusalem to retrace the final steps taken by Jesus Christ. Later, for the many who could not make the trip to the Holy Land, the practice developed of praying the Stations of the Cross at one's home church or perhaps at a nearby shrine.

The Fasting Way for Women, a one-day retreat, will be presented by Joyanna Deschaine on Saturday, February 24, at the Christian Life Center in Frenchville.

Young adults age 21-40 are invited to attend Theology on Tap on Thursday, February 8, at 6:30 p.m. at River Junction Brewery, 1491 Main St, Sanford (next to Shain’s of Maine). The guest speaker will be Fr. Bill Labbe, pastor of St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish in Sanford and St. Matthew Parish in Limerick.
