Parishioners are invited to begin praying the Divine Mercy Novena on Good Friday, April 3. The novena will conclude on Divine Mercy Sunday with a program at Holy Family Church, 429 Main Street in Old Town, that will include a Holy Hour and the sacrament of reconciliation beginning at 2 p.m., followed by prayers including the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3 p.m.
Corpus Christi Parish will present “Opening Our Doors, Opening Our Hearts: Dealing with Depression” on Monday, November 7, at 6 p.m. in the hall at Notre Dame du Perpetuel Secours on 116 Silver Street in Waterville.
On Christmas, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord, the birth of Christ. It is one of the most important days of the Church year, second only to Easter itself.
The 7th Midcoast Tree Festival will be held at the St. John’s Community Center, 43 Pleasant Street in Brunswick, over two weekends this November.
St. Anthony of Padua Parish will hold a Christmas Fair on November 1, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing together the gifts and talents of parishioners from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Windham and St. Hyacinth Church in Westbrook.
