Take a Swing to End Human Trafficking at the CourageLIVES Golf Benefit
OLD ORCHARD BEACH---Line up some putts and take a few swings to benefit Saint André Home’s CourageLIVES, a program that provides support and services for people impacted by human trafficking and exploitation.
The 3rd annual CourageLIVES Mini Golf Benefit will be held Saturday, September 23, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf, 70 First Street in Old Orchard Beach. Standard admission fees will apply. Pay when you arrive at the course.
Continuing the mission of the Good Shepherd Sisters of Quebec, who founded Saint André Home 83 years ago to serve women and children in need, CourageLIVES provides a wide range of services for survivors of human trafficking, exploitation, and sexual and domestic abuse, as well as support for their families. The program serves women and families in several Maine counties.
“We have seen time and time again how people have been mistreated, as if they do not have inherent value, but yet, with the right support, we see people not only grow but flourish,” said Carey Nason, executive director of Saint André Home.
If you aren’t able to make it to the golf tournament but would like to support CourageLIVES, donations may be made online at https://couragelivesme.org. Also consider participating in the CourageLIVES virtual auction, which will be held November 3-13. A link to it will be available on the CourageLIVES website.
