Caribou Parish Event to Raise Money for Winter Emergency Assistance in Community

CARIBOU---A spaghetti supper in Caribou on Sunday, November 20, will aim to raise valuable funds for community members in need of emergency financial assistance this winter.

The event will be held at Holy Rosary Church in drive-thru format in front of the parish center from 3 p.m. until the last meal is served. Participants are asked to enter from Thomas Avenue and exit to Vaughn Street. The meals will include spaghetti with meat sauce, a roll, and a Boston cream square. The cost is $10 per meal, and every cent collected will go towards helping neighbors who face difficult situations in the coming months. A 50/50 raffle to support the cause will also be held at the event.

The supper is being organized and hosted by the Parish of the Precious Blood’s Parish Social Ministry program, also known as Always H.O.P.E. (Helping Our People Eagerly). The ministry assists individuals and families with short-term financial difficulties arising from situations like the loss of a job, a medical condition, divorce, or other unfortunate event.

Always H.O.P.E. also works collaboratively with social service agencies in the County, attempting to actively share in Christ's love for God's people. It is an attempt on the part of the parish to respond to the poor, both economically and those facing hurt, pain, and loneliness.
