Sister Mary Laboure Morin, RSM

The Sisters of Mercy of the Americas are once again mourning the death of one of their sisters.  Sr. Mary Laboure Morin, a Sister of Mercy, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Saint Joseph Rehabilitation and Residence where she had been for the last few years. Sister was a nurse by profession and served many years at Mercy Hospital.  She also was the directress for the junior professed sisters before being elected as the General Superior in 1989.  She served in this capacity until 1998.  A gentle, humble soul, she guided the community through some difficult days with calm and serenity.
