Father James MacGee, OMI

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Reverend James Brooks MacGee, OMI, age 86, who died on October 10, 2017, at the Oblate Infirmary and Retirement Home (Immaculate Heart of Mary Residence) in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.

Originally from Newton, MA, Father MacGee professed his first vows in 1952 and his final vows three years later. During his 65 years as an Oblate, Father MacGee served in Rome, where he took part in the preparations for Vatican II; worked in education; and then worked in parish ministry for more than 40 years. Retiring just a couple of years ago, Father MacGee’s last pastoral assignment was at St. Leo the Great Parish in Howland.
