Sister Rita Pelletier, O.P.
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sr. Rita Pelletier, O.P., who died on Tuesday April 3, at the age of 87. Sister was a professed member of the Dominican Sisters of the Roman Union for 63 years. Raised in Lewiston and a graduate of St. Dominic High School, Sister Rita served her Dominican Sisters in Brookline, Mass., and Sabattus before receiving her nursing degree. She served as a nurse at Marcotte Home in Lewiston and at Bishop Drumm Nursing Home and Dr. Boesen Clinic in Des Moines, Iowa. Towards the end of her active ministry, she served the Navajo Indians on their reservation in Klagetoh, AZ.
Among her relatives that predeceased her is her brother, Father Rosairo Pelletier, O.P., who served at SS. Peter and Paul in Lewiston for many years.
Please remember in your prayers Sister Rita's natural and religious family and her many friends. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen
