Sister Theresa Conlogue, RSM

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sr. Theresa Conlogue, RSM, who died peacefully at St. Catherine’s Residence in Portland on Monday, November 26.  Sister Theresa was 85 years old.

Born in Houlton, Sister Theresa was a Sister of Mercy of the Americas, having entered in September 1951. She spent 47 years as a primary school teacher.  She taught at the Cathedral School in Portland, Holy Cross School in South Portland, St. Athanasius School in Rumford, Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Fairfield, St. John School and St. Mary School in Bangor, St. Mary School in Houlton, and St. Mary School in Augusta.  Following her retirement from teaching, she lived in Augusta and ministered at Howell House before moving to Portland.

Also known as Sr. Mary Terence, Sr. Theresa provided many services to her religious community. 

Among her surviving relatives is Sr. Ruth Conlogue who was her primary caregiver during her last years.

Please prayer for the consolation of Sr. Theresa’s religious and natural families.
