Middle School ELA Teacher

Holy Cross School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled middle school (grades 5-8) English/Language Arts teacher to join our Catholic School community in South Portland, Maine. The ideal candidate will be passionate about academic excellence, spiritual development, and helping students reach their full potential. 

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and implement engaging lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and standards.
• Integrate Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction and classroom activities.
• Assess and support student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.
• Work closely with fellow teachers, parents, and school staff to help each child succeed.
• Encourage parental involvement and ensure effective communication with students and parents.
