Christmas Fairs 2023

Many parishes and schools around the diocese are holding Christmas fairs during the months of November and December.

They are a wonderful opportunity to join with other members of the community, as we prepare for Advent and Christmas, and they are valuable fundraisers that help support many church ministries.

November 4, 2023

St. Anthony of Padua Parish Christmas Crafts Fair - Westbrook

St. Anthony of Padua Parish will hold a Christmas Crafts Fair on Saturday, November 4, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the hall of St. Hyacinth Church, 268 Brown Street in Westbrook. The fair will feature Italian and American food, vendor and craft tables, baked goods, books, puzzles, DVDs, gift baskets, knits, jewelry, raffles, a white elephant area, a children’s area, a silent auction, and more.

St. Charles Borromeo Christmas Fair - Brunswick

The Christmas fair at St. Charles Borromeo Church, part of All Saints Parish, will be held Saturday, November 4, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the church hall at 132 McKeen Street in Brunswick. The fair will feature 19 booths filled with a great selection of gifts. In addition, the food court will be open throughout the fair, featuring breakfast sandwiches, haddock chowder, beef stew, sandwiches and homemade apple and pumpkin pie. There will also be raffle prices of $1,000, $500, $250, and $100.

St. Dominic Academy Holiday Festival - Auburn

The Saint Dominic Academy Holiday Festival will be held Saturday, November 4, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will feature more than 80 local artisans and vendors, a bake sale, a raffle table, a mini festival of trees, and the Festival Kitchen, which will be open for lunch.

St. Joseph's Women's Guild Fall Sale - Bridgton

The St. Joseph's Women Guild will hold its annual Holiday and Fall Sale on Saturday, November 4, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the hall of St. Joseph Church, 225 South High Street in Bridgton. The sale will include jewelry, baked goods, gently used clothing, and special finds in the Attic Treasures display.

St. Raphael Christmas Bazaar - Kittery

St. Raphael Church’s Christmas Bazaar will be held on Saturday, November 4, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the church, located at 6 Whipple Road in Kittery

Bells of St. Mary's Christmas Craft Fair - Bath

The Bells of St. Mary’s Christmas Craft Fair and café will be held Saturday, November 11, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Mary Church, 144 Lincoln Street in Bath. The fair features many crafters, as well as "Grandma's Attic" with Christmas decorations and household items, and the famous cookie walk. For more information, call 207-443-3423. 

Holy Spirit Parish Christmas Fair - Kennebunk

The Holy Spirit Parish Christmas Fair will be held November 11, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and November 12, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at St. Martha Church, 30 Portland Road in Kennebunk. The fair will feature its popular penny auction, a money raffle, a bake sale, jewelry, and tables featuring local crafters.

Our Lady of the Snows Christmas Fair - Dexter

Our Lady of the Snows Parish will hold a Christmas craft fair on Saturday, November 11, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Anne Parish hall, 64 Free Street in Dexter. The fair will feature crafts, bakery items, books, Gramma's Attic, brunch items, a themed silent auction, themed baskets for a raffle, a candy count, and a 50/50 raffle.

Red Sleigh Bazaar, Old Town

The Red Sleigh Bazaar will be held November 11, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the hall of Holy Family Church, 429 Main Street in Old Town. It will feature knitted items, a themed basket raffle, candy, baked goods, a regifting table, an all-you-can-eat soup bar, homemade doughnuts, and a big raffle with a chance to win four Red Sox tickets with transportation to the game.

Sacred Heart Ladies Guild Fair - Hallowell

The Sacred Heart Ladies Guild annual Christmas Fair will be held November 11, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the hall of Sacred Heart Church, 5 Summer Street in Hallowell.

St. Anthony of Padua Christmas Fair - Gorham

St. Anne Church, part of St. Anthony of Padua Parish, will host a Christmas Crafts Fair on Saturday, November 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fair will feature Gramma’s Attic, baked goods, knits and crafts, kids’ games, jewelry, raffles, a silent auction, and lots of food, including apple pies, candy, and pizzeles. There will also be a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, music, and a Knights of Columbus dinner.

St. Louis Parish Christmas Fair, Portland

The St. Louis Parish Christmas Fair will be held Saturday, November 11, 9 am. to 2 p.m., at St. Louis Church, 279 Danforth Street in Portland. The fair will feature a “Polish” raffle, knitted and handcrafted items, grab bags for kids, and a quilt raffle. A Polish luncheon will be served at 11 a.m.

Midcoast Tree Festival - Brunswick

The 5th Midcoast Tree Festival will be held at the St. John’s Community Center, 43 Pleasant Street in Brunswick, November 17-19 and again from November 24-26, 2023.The festival features trees decorated by area community organizations, businesses, and individuals, which are then raffled off to benefit local charities and organizations, including All Saints Parish in Brunswick.

The grand opening celebration will be held November 17, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The festival will then be held November 18 & 19 and November 24 & 25, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and conclude on November 26, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost for admission is $2 for adults. Christmas By the Lake Fair - Auburn

The Christmas by the Lake Fair will be held November 18, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at St. Philip Church, 2365 Turner Road in Auburn. The fair will feature its signature greens and wreaths, along with a bakery, a puzzle and book room, a candy shop, a country store, hidden treasures, a holiday room, knitting, quilting/sewing, jewelry, and a raffle table. Lunch will also be available throughout the fair.

Our Lady of the Rosary Christmas Fair - Sabattus

The Our Lady of the Rosary Christmas Craft Fair will be held Saturday, November 18, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the lower level of the church, located at 131 High Street in Sabattus. The fair will feature approximately 30 crafters and vendors, a bake sale, and a basket raffle.

Parish of the Holy Savior Christmas Fair - Rumford

The Parish of the Holy Savior Christmas Fair will be held Saturday, November 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Athanasius & St. John Church, 126 Maine Avenue in Rumford. The fair will feature handmade crafts, fresh decorated wreaths, giving trees for nursing homes and the food pantry, baked goods and meals for purchase, Three will also be raffles, including three major prizes. For more information, call the parish office at 207-364-4556.

St. Christopher Holiday Fair - York

The St. Christopher Church Holiday Fair will be held Saturday, November 18, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the church hall at 4 Barrell Lane in York.

St. Michael School Christmas Fair - Augusta

The St. Michael School Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday, November 18, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the school gymnasium, 56 Sewall Street in Augusta.

St. Paul the Apostle Parish Christmas Fair - Brewer

The St. Paul the Apostle Parish Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday, November 18, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Church on 531 North Main Street in Brewer. The fair features beautifully decorated Christmas wreaths, crafts, gift basket raffles, Christmas decorations, homemade baked goods, homemade fudge,  white elephant items. and more. St. Rose of Lima Christmas Fair - Jay

The St. Rose Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday, November 18, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the St. Rose Community Center. The fair will again feature the raffle corner, chicken pies, fish chowder, a candy booth, and baked goods. The St. Rose Thrift Store will also be open during the hours of the fair. St. Rose of Lima is located at 1 Church Street in Jay.

Shamrocks of St. Patrick Christmas Fair - Newcastle

St. Patrick Church of All Saints Parish, 380 Academy Hill Road in Newcastle, will hold its Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 18, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fair will feature crafts, baked goods, plants, religious items, Christmas wreaths, and a regifting table. There will also be a Christmas café and raffle baskets.

The Our Lady of the Angels Penny Sale will be held Sunday, November 26, at Noble Middle School, 46 Cranberry Meadow Road in Berwick. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Drawings start at 3:30 p.m.

Holy Cross School, South Portland

The annual Holy Cross School Christmas Fair and Lobster Lunch will be held December 1 & 2 at the school, located at 436 Broadway in South Portland. Come to see local crafters and then grab a fresh lobster roll and some chowder. It's the best deal in town!  The fair will run from noon to 4 p.m. on December 1 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on December 2.

Our Lady of Hope Festival of Trees - Portland

Our Lady of Hope Parish in Portland will hold its Festival of Trees on December 1 and 2 in the hall of St. Pius X Church, 492 Ocean Avenue in Portland. People can stop by to view the trees and to buy raffle tickets to win them on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festival will also include a meat pie supper at 5 p.m. on Friday and a Christmas concert at 6:30 p.m. by St. Brigid School students. The cost of the meal is $20. On Saturday, kids can enjoy breakfast with Santa at 8 a.m. There will then be cookies and ornaments for sale and games of chance, such as the Big Wheel and Lucky 7. Lunch, featuring items such as hot dogs, pizza, and meatball subs, will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The festival will conclude at 7 p.m. with a live auction, which will include hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer, and live music. Cheverus High School, Portland

Cheverus High School will hold a Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, December 2, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing together craft artists in the local community. The fair will be held in the gym and atrium of Cheverus, located at 267 Ocean Avenue in Portland. It will feature handcrafted gifts and specialty items, baked goods, gift baskets, a children’s area, delicious homemade lunch items, and more!  A special visit from Santa is always a highlight! This popular annual event is organized to support the Cheverus Service Immersion trips and celebrates a vibrant community and local small businesses.

Parish of the Holy Eucharist Advent Fair - Yarmouth

The Parish of the Holy Eucharist’s Advent Fair will be held Saturday, December 2, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 326 Main Street in Yarmouth. The fair will feature handcrafted items, a children’s table, vintage collectibles, baked goods, holiday decorations, jewelry, a raffle, and a luncheon café.

St. Joseph Parish, Farmington

The St. Joseph Parish Winter Festival will be held at the St. Joseph Parish Center, 133 Middle Street in Farmington, on December 2, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The festival will feature freshly made wreaths, a silent auction for gift baskets, turkey pies, fish chowder, a candy booth, and a raffle. Proceeds benefit St. Joseph Parish Social Ministry.

Our Lady of Ransom Fair, Mechanic Falls

St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish's Annual Christmas Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, December 2, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Ransom Church, 117 Elm St., Mechanic Falls. In addition to a variety of holiday crafts there will be raffles, a bake sale, and a light luncheon. Donations to the hat and mitten tree in memory of Sandi Wilson are being accepted. St. Ann Christmas Fair, Bradley

The Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord's Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday, December 2, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature a lunch in addition to Christmas items.
