The Diocese of Portland’s Office of the Tribunal is leading presentations and discussions on the annulment process in the Catholic Church during workshops held across the state.
Bishop James Ruggieri will come to the annual gathering of those involved with, or curious to learn more about, ministries in Maine’s jails and prisons. Discussion will also focus on activities, such as helping those returning to society after incarceration, or being present to the families of those in jail or prison. The gathering will be held at the Sacred Heart Hall, 7 Summer Street, Hallowell, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 7. Lunch is included.
2024 Walk for Life to benefit Zoe, A Women’s Center in Rockland. It will take place on Saturday, June 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Merritt Park (behind the Flanagan Recreational Center on White Street) Rockland. A community lunch will be held following the walk. Zoe, A Women’s Center’s goal is to holistically support women, and men, with practical help and hope. The center welcomes all who come through its doors to feel valued, empowered, beautiful, refreshed, and full of belonging.
