Accounts Payable Clerk
Diocese of Portland

The Diocese of Porltand has an immediate opening for an accounts payable clerk. This position provides accounts payable services for the diocese, parishes, schools, and cemeteries. Primary duties include gathering, recording and coding approved invoices; software, scanning and attaching invoice copies; preparing cash disbursements (printing and mailing checks) and reviewing the accounts payable ledger. The successful candidate will have 1-3 years of accounts payable experience, proficiency in Microsoft office applications, exceptional attention to detail, and superior organizational skills. Advertising Sales Representative
Harvest

Harvest, the bimonthly magazine of the Diocese of Portland, seeks a sales representative to secure businesses and organizations for advertising in the magazine, helping them to realize their potential by reaching readers across Maine. Director of Parish Mission
Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord, Old Town 

The Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord in Old Town has an immediate opening for a director of parish mission. This full-time position will be responsible for collaborating with the pastor in directing, enhancing, and advancing parish life. Responsibilities include ensuring that the pastoral and administrative needs of the parish are met; overseeing and collaborating with pastoral staff and coordinating volunteers; and promoting and implementing the parish pastoral plan, with a special emphasis on outreach and formation. Pastoral Life Coordinator

St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Bangor has an immediate opening for a pastoral life coordinator to collaborate with the pastor in the day-to-day operations of the parish and oversee the parish’s evangelization, education, and engagement. This full- time position is responsible for the overall management and coordinator of activities involved in the daily operations of this ministry. Custodian
St. James School, Biddeford

St. James School in Biddeford seeks a full-time custodian starting this summer and continuing into the school year and beyond. School year responsibilities include emptying trash from the school, cleaning all common areas, and cleaning the bathrooms each day. Cafeteria, hall, and bathroom floors are cleaned nightly. Classroom floors are washed periodically. During the pandemic, a sanitizing sprayer is used each evening. Small handyman jobs are also completed. Summer responsibilities include thoroughly cleaning the school and moving furniture out of the classrooms so the floors can be waxed and then moving everything back into the classroom. The custodian is trained on using the sanitizing sprayer, pest management, and other responsibilities. Kindergarten Teacher
St. James School, Biddeford

St. James School in Biddeford is anticipating some large classes and is expecting that class sizes will require another kindergarten classroom. Splitting classes will allow Saint James to have small class sizes to meet the needs of students. The teacher would have one group all day, teaching literacy, math, science, social studies, and religion. Students attend a separate STREAM (Science-Technology-Religion-Engineering-Art-Math) class, PE class, music class, art class, and library class. Students are given a spelling inventory, DRA, and take the NWEA to drive instruction. The teacher should be able to work with diverse learners. This teacher would work with sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. The expectation at Saint James is to differentiate instruction for students within the classroom so there may be students at different levels. Music Teacher/Band Instructor
St. James School, Biddeford

St. James School in Biddeford has an opening for a music teacher and band instructor (pre-kindergarten through eighth grade) starting in the 2021-22 academic year. There are class sets of recorders, ukuleles, boomwhackers, keyboards, and band instruments. The job could also entail teaching band and guitar to students and preference would be given to a teacher that could be both a music teacher to all grades and a band instructor for fourth grade and up. The job entails instruction of music to all grade levels, preparing for concerts, and assisting in classrooms. Historically, there has always been a Christmas concert that follows the story of the Birth of Jesus and a spring concert with different formats. The job times are somewhat flexible and could accommodate a candidate who wishes to work at another school as well. There is a choir director and the person that is hired for this position would be expected to work with the choir director so that students learn the Catholic songs and hymns. Music Minister

Parish of the Holy Eucharist seeks a music minister for its 9:30 a.m. Novus Ordo Sunday Mass at St. Jude Church in Freeport. Candidates should possess strong liturgical playing skills on organ, piano, or both;  be responsible for planning and executing all liturgical music; and be committed to incorporating music from the vast Catholic treasury and traditional hymnody. Familiarity with chant and antiphons desired, or a willingness to learn.
