The Portland Peninsula and Island Parishes seeks a liturgical coordinator to organize liturgical recruiting, training, scheduling, and sacristy inventory for and with parishioners of the parishes. The coordinator oversees liturgical and sacramental calendars and scheduling for the six churches (Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Portland; St. Peter Church, Portland; St. Louis Church, Portland; Sacred Heart Church, Portland; St. Christopher Church, Peaks Island; Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Long Island); assists with planning, organization, and setup for special/major liturgies; schedules funeral liturgies and ministries at all six churches; coordinates clergy and parish volunteer sacramental outreach to the homebound and those in nursing facilities; and recruits, trains, and organizes parish liturgical ministers in consultation with the rector/pastor. The successful candidate will be a practicing Roman Catholic who understands and enthusiastically supports the mission and purpose of the Church and parishes and proactively engages others in a positive and friendly manner.
