Sister Mary Fatima St. Germain (1928-2021)

Prayers are requested for the soul of Sr. Mary Fatima St. Germain, RSM, who passed into eternal life on Saturday May 22, 2021, at the youthful age of 93.

She was born in Eagle Lake in 1928, the daughter of Joseph and Marceline St. Germain, and graduated from Sherman Station High School in 1945. She then enrolled in the Madigan Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and after earning her RN in nursing, entered the Sisters of Mercy.

Sister Mary Fatima devoted herself to her chosen profession in the field of healthcare working at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Madigan Memorial Hospital in Houlton, and Eagle Lake Nursing Home.  Her last ministry before retirement was as assistant librarian at Mercy Hospital. During her years of ministry, she served as a nurse, a clinical instructor, director of nursing and an administrator. She was a quiet, gentle person who instilled confidence and trust in those to whom she ministered and those she ministered with.

In your prayers, remember the loved ones she leaves behind, her natural family, her religious family and her friends
