Sister Claire entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Lyons 60 years ago, taking final vows in 1967.  She continued her studies at St. Joseph's College of Maine in Standish and then at The Catholic University in Washington, D.C.

Sister's Claire's many years in ministry included teaching at Sacred Heart School in Auburn, Holy Family School in Lewiston, and St. Dominic High School. In 1970, she began mission work in Brazil, where she served for 27 years. When she returned to Maine, she continued her ministry in the Lewiston-Auburn area, serving in many capacities, including as a hospice volunteer, the province's international justice and peace coordinator, and as a vocation coordinator, among other positions.

Please pray for the consolation of Sister’s natural and religious families.

May her soul and the soul of all the faithful departed rest in peace.  Amen
