Bishop Deeley Announces Two Pastor Assignments

PORTLAND---Bishop Robert Deeley has announced two pastor assignments, effective on January 18, 2022. Larger scale images available upon request.

Fr. Philip A. Tracy (pictured, below left) has been appointed pastor of All Saints Parish (St. Charles Borromeo Church in Brunswick, St. John the Baptist Church in Brunswick, St. Mary Church in Bath, Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Boothbay Harbor, St. Ambrose Church in Richmond, St. Patrick Church in Newcastle, and St. Katharine Drexel Church in Harpswell). The South Portland native is currently pastor of the Parish of the Holy Eucharist (Holy Martyrs of North America Church in Falmouth, Sacred Heart Church in Yarmouth, St. Gregory Church in Gray, and St. Jude Church in Freeport). Since his ordination to the priesthood in 1988, Fr. Tracy has also served in Bangor, Brunswick, Limerick, Rockland, Rumford, Sanford, Skowhegan, Springvale, St. Francis, St. John, Waterville, and Winslow. Fr. Tracy succeeds Monsignor René Mathieu, who was appointed temporary administrator of All Saints Parish following the death of Fr. Tom Murphy on September 20.

Fr. Steven G. Cartwright (pictured, below right) has been appointed pastor of the Parish of the Holy Eucharist (Holy Martyrs of North America Church in Falmouth, Sacred Heart Church in Yarmouth, St. Gregory Church in Gray, and St. Jude Church in Freeport). The Boothbay Harbor native is currently parochial vicar of St. Anthony of Padua Parish (St. Anne Church in Gorham, Our Lady of Sebago Church in Sebago, St. Anthony of Padua Church in Westbrook, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Windham). Since his ordination to the priesthood in 2015, Fr. Cartwright has also served in Lewiston, Lisbon Falls, and Sabattus.
