FALMOUTH---The Parish of the Holy Eucharist in Falmouth is planning an upcoming series that will help participants learn more about the Catholic Church’s most influential people.
Part I of “Catholicism: The Pivotal Players” will be held on four consecutive Thursdays (October 10, 17, 24, 31) from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the hall of Holy Martyrs Church on 266 Foreside Road in Falmouth. All are welcome to attend.
Originally aired on PBS and viewed by millions, this epic eight-part documentary by Bishop Robert Barron illumines a handful of saints, artists, mystics, and scholars who not only shaped the life of the Church but changed the course of civilization.
Each session will include an opening prayer and introduction, video segments, small group discussions, and application points that will help participants connect the material to their own lives and experiences.
The series is being presented by the parish’s Office of Lifelong Faith Formation and “Aging with Grace,” a parish initiative that helps retain and even increase the things that can bring seniors satisfaction and happiness, including spiritual, physical, social, and intergenerational events and activities.
