“To God Be the Glory” Production in York Cancelled

YORK—In response to Governor Mills’ recommendation regarding large gatherings, “To God Be the Glory,” the major production that has been offered during Lent at St. Christopher Church in York since 1993, has been cancelled for 2020.

The production annually features over 100 actors, singers, and backstage contributors and showcases Jesus’ life. The script is pulled heavily from Scripture, chronicling the life of Jesus from the Annunciation to the Resurrection. This year’s performances were scheduled from March 26-29.

Through the years, scenes and characters have been added and the performance has grown into a nearly two-hour production. Volunteers from other area churches and communities have also become involved.
