Event Overview:
Journey is an annual retreat for high school youth who seek to grow and deepen their relationship with Jesus.  The weekend offers the opportunity to embark on the journey with Jesus to more intimately encounter him, embrace his invitation and call, and to echo the Risen Lord with our lives!  The celebration of Mass, perpetual eucharistic adoration and the opportunity to receive the sacrament of reconciliation will be offered throughout the weekend.

Check-in begins at 5 p.m. on Friday afternoon, with dinner to follow.  The retreat begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.  This year, all seating will be in chairs.  Bishop Robert Deeley will celebrate Mass with us at 11 a.m. on Saturday, and all parents and families are invited to join us for the closing Mass on Sunday at 12 noon.   Lunch follows and departure is scheduled for 1 p.m.  .

The cost of the weekend is $100 per participant (both for youth and adults).  This includes all meals, overnight accommodations, the program and a T-shirt.  It is recommended that the financial cost of the event be supported by the parish, some fundraising efforts, and by the family.  We are fortunate to be able to provide diocesan assistance, up to 1/3 of the cost, when needed for youth participation.

Youth and their accompanying adults will spend the night on the classroom floors at Saint Dominic Academy on Friday and Saturday night.  Air mattresses and camping mats are encouraged.

Transportation and Safe Environment:
All youth must be accompanied by adults.  We ask that no more than one adult accompany up to seven youth of the same gender, please.  Also, all adult participants and drivers must be at least 21 years of age and must be found to be compliant and up-to-date with Protecting God's Children documentation, as overseen by the parish.

Registration and Deadlines:
All registration is being coordinated through your parish Youth Ministry Coordinator or designated parish leader.  All forms and fees must be submitted to your parish leader in time for him/her to register your parish group.  The deadline for all registrations of parish groups and receipt of all financial aid request forms to the diocese is by noon on November 4th.  No individual registrations will be accepted.
