Office of Parish Planning for Evangelization

Bishop Malone, in conjunction with the Presbyteral and Episcopal Councils, has completed the review of the 27 cluster planning reports of the Diocese. It was clear from the outset that a great deal of prayer, thought, and work went into preparation of the reports. The Bishop and all others who participated in the review process commend cluster planning committee members, facilitators, parish priests, and parish support staff for their dedication in service to the people of the Church in Maine.

In that spirit, the review process was equally thorough and rigorous.

We are now completing and will soon be mailing responses to the plans to each cluster. For the most part, the responses endorse the plans as submitted; some contain questions to be addressed or suggest points to be considered by the cluster transition teams.

It is, indeed, an exciting time for the Diocese of Portland as we begin the next phase of our “new evangelization.”

As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have, Bill Schulz — 207.321.7845.

The current cluster configuration is available on this page.
