Family Life Ministry and Programming Coordinator
Diocese of Portland

The Diocese of Portland has an immediate opening for a family life ministry and programming coordinator to work in the diocese’s Office of Lifelong Faith Formation. The position provides marriage and family resources, formation, and services to parishes and also collaborates with other members of the office staff in the planning, oversight, and implementation of faith formation programs. The successful candidate will have three to five years of experience in family ministry and be an active Catholic in good standing with the Church. Additionally, this individual should be experienced in planning and organizing programs and possess excellent management, budgeting, and communication skills. Evening and weekend work will be required. Keyboardist/Choir Director
Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Boothbay Harbor

Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, located at 82 Atlantic Avenue in Boothbay Harbor, seeks a year-round keyboardist/choir director with vision and enthusiasm to accompany weekend Masses, direct the choir, and play the keyboard at weddings and funerals. The keyboardist/choir director will also play during weekly choir practice, on holy days, and at seasonal services, with opportunities for additional services. The successful candidate will possess experience in accompanying congregations and have familiarity with the Catholic faith. Special Education Teacher
St. Michael School, Augusta

St. Michael School in Augusta seeks a full-time special education teacher. The qualified candidate must have K-8 Special Education Certification through the State of Maine and a bachelor’s degree in special education. In addition to scheduling and conducting evaluations, the individual will attend IEP meetings and work with students. The special education teacher will also work as part of a team to ensure the school is meeting state requirements regarding Title 1, Title 2, and RTI. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic; all state licenses must be current. The successful candidate will be in charge of meetings with teachers to ensure that all running records are current and meetings are taking place on a regular basis. Pre-Kindergarten Instructor

Sexton/Cemetery Worker

The responsibilities include taking care of the grounds at all parish locations; plowing snow; digging graves; minor repair work; and assisting with some maintenance duties. This position works closely with the pastor and business coordinator to ensure that the physical plant needs of all parish locations are met. Varsity Field Hockey Coach

Social Studies Teacher
Saint Dominic Academy, Auburn Campus

Saint Dominic Academy seeks a caring and student-centered professional to teach middle school social studies on its Auburn campus. The position requires the ability to teach at all levels from seventh to twelfth grade, but the assignment will primarily be for the seventh and eighth grades. The teacher will work in a faith-filled, dynamic, and collaborative environment with other middle school instructors. The ideal candidate is a practicing Roman Catholic who is passionate about social studies including world geography, U.S. History, and Maine studies. Also preferred is a teacher who has an English certification and middle or secondary teaching experience. A bachelor’s degree in history or secondary education with a history concentration or equivalent is required.  Maine Certification (or eligibility) in Secondary Education Social Studies (200S; 7-12) is also required. Currently, the school offers Spanish and French and has a three-year language requirement with many students opting to continue on for a fourth year. The school has offered Mandarin Chinese in the past and currently has students pursuing this study through the Jesuit Virtual Learning Academy.
