"Theology on Tap" in Portland on August 17

August 17, 2017

The next “Theology on Tap” will be held at Pat’s Pizza, located at 30 Market Street in Portland, on Thursday, August 17, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will be held upstairs in the group room. This month's presentation is entitled "The Triumph of Love: A Catholic Response to Suffering and Evil."  We all deal with suffering in one form or another, and at times encounter others who have suffered greatly. For some, it can rock their faith. Many skeptics see this as evidence that God either doesn’t exist, or doesn’t care. Yet our Catholic tradition has a rich response to this challenge. Whether you want to strengthen your own faith for the trials of life or equip yourself to answer questions from non-believing acquaintances and friends, come for a lively discussion of the age-old problem of evil, facilitated by Dr. Bill Martel of Good Shepherd Parish. “Theology on Tap” is a gathering of college students and young adults (ages 18-39) featuring food, drink, fellowship, and engaging discussions!
